Anti-Dogma 07 (The Neo-Expressionist Decalogue for Architecture and Cinematography)

1.- Know that forms may be distorted for emotional effects.
2.- Realism is subordinated to symbolic or stylistic expression of inner experience.
3.- In Neo-Expressionism underlies an effort at achieving the new, orignial and visionary.
4.- There will be a profusion of works on paper, and models, with discovery and representation of concepts more important than pragmatic, finished products.
5.- Neo-Expressionism often leads to hybrid solutions, irreducible to a single concept.
6.- Recurrent themes of natural romantic phenomena, such as caves, mountains, lightning, crystal and rock formations. Neo-Expressionism is mineral and elemental.
7.- The creative potential of artisan craftsmanship should be considered.
8.- Light-Shadow contrast is concieved in an industrial way.
9.- Neo-Expressionism can be develped in any culture, eastern or western.
10.- Architecture and cinematography are mother arts.
